How often should certain maintenance items be serviced? It depends on the vehicle, make, model, and time interval / mileage since last known service. We recommend consulting your vehicle records, on board computer (if applicable), to find any information on last repairs. If you cannot find any information on last service history, we will perform a thorough inspection of your vehicle and recommend services based on the upcoming mileage interval based on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
Helping you keep track of your vehicle’s needed service, the on board computer / infotainment system on newer vehicles track the condition of important systems in your car and can tell you if you immediately require service (BMW iDrive for example). Our technicians can also use this system to determine what we need to repair or replace when you make an appointment with us.
For preventative maintenance we recommend (staying ahead of major issues, insuring your vehicle is always operating and running at optimal levels) every 5,000 miles or 6 months the following:
- Brake fluid check
- Brake inspection, front and rear
- Cabin air filter inspection
- Coolant check
- Engine inspection
- Engine oil check / oil change
- Tire rotation, if necessary
- 57 Point Digital Vehicle inspection
- Wiper blade inspection
Recommended maintenance schedule depends on the conditions you drive in and where you drive. Depending on these variances, certain maintenance items will vary. Please consult your owners manual for specific maintenance intervals from your vehicle manufacturer. Here is what you can expect for a regular maintenance service based on average dealer specifications (please keep in mind, we will inform you in our digital vehicle inspection what is serious and what needs to be serviced ASAP for safety concerns).
